The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences :

Founded Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in 1990 as one of the faculties of the University of the Nile Valley, and includes the University of Shendi after its founding in 1994.

This faculty was established on the pattern of modern medical facultys, and thus tended to serve the community, to contribute to solving the problems of health, and adopted in their integration and intrusion on the working of a multidisciplinary health, and worked on the preparation of Integrated Health Group, linked to the environment and society. The study began in medicine, surgery, nursing and public health higher in 1990, and began Medical Laboratories in 1995 and in basic medical sciences in 1999.

The timetable for the study :

A study leave Medicine and Surgery 12 classrooms, and the period of study leave for the rest of 8 classrooms, the school year consists of two semesters each for sixteen weeks.

4. Attention weighed folk medicine and traditional health practices popular view conduct the studies required for development and promotion.
